Project Overview
I contributed to Wollo University’s initiative to establish a university-based community radio station designed to support journalism education, practical media training, community engagement, and local information needs.
My involvement included contributing to the project proposal, organizational bylaws and institutional documentation, supporting the broadcasting licensing process, stakeholder engagement, awareness activities, and capacity-building efforts related to the establishment of the station.
The project successfully progressed through the regulatory process and secured a broadcasting licence. Although the station had not yet become operational during my involvement due to procurement, bureaucratic, and institutional challenges, the initiative established an important foundation for a university-based community broadcasting platform.

Project Outcome
The establishment project achieved several important institutional milestones. Wollo University Community Radio secured its broadcasting licence, a governing board was established, and a station manager was assigned, creating the organizational and regulatory foundation required for the radio station.
Although full broadcasting operations had not yet begun, these achievements moved the initiative from the planning stage toward implementation and established the formal structure needed for future operation.
